OCGS Help Night

More than thirteen presenters will staff help tables at the annual OCGS help night on February 5, 2013.

Our meeting will be held at the Troy Community Center, 3179 Livernois Road, Troy, MI 48083 (just north of Big Beaver) at 7 p.m. The community center has a flat entrance and ample lighted parking. Meetings are open to the public and free of charge; everyone is welcome.

Help will be available in the following categories: Beginners, Civil War, England, French Canadian, German, Ireland, Italy, Native America & African American, New England, Polish & Eastern European, and Scotland.

There will also be help available in navigating and competing tasks with Windows computers. If you are new to Windows, or have questions, bring the questions and your laptop computer. Wi-Fi is available at the Community Center. OCGS is always in need of more helpers for their indexing and transcription projects. At this table we will also offer help in “how to” work on our projects. Bring your laptop and we will set you up with a simple starter project to complete!
