1890 Pontiac Township Assessment Roll

The 1884 and 1894 State of Michigan Census for Oakland County and the Federal Census for 1890 for Michigan no longer exist, so replacement data is very useful to genealogical researchers. The 1890 assessment roll for Pontiac Township was transcribed by Ray Lucas, with the permission of the record holder, the Auburn Hills Historical Society.

 

At times is is helpful to consult a map when conducting research. We have linked a map from the 1872 plat book; the residents listed are not the same as those on the 1890 assessment. However, the map does show the location of school districts, and the sections in which the peole below resided. Access it here.
